Questions? Straight answers.

Everything people usually ask before getting started. Don't see yours? Just ask; I read every message and reply personally.

Getting started

Isn't a social media profile enough?

It's a start, not a foundation. Social profiles are great for reach, but they're rented: an algorithm decides who sees you and a policy change can erase you. A website on your own domain is a permanent home people can find on Google and trust at a glance.

Best setup: your website as home base, social as the megaphone pointing to it.

How do we get started?

Send a quick note through the contact form about what you do and what you're hoping for. I'll reply personally with a time for a free intro chat.

How long does it take?

Most simple setups go from zero to a live, owned website and email within a couple of weeks, often faster. Bigger sites take a bit longer; you'll get a timeline with your quote.

Do I need to have everything figured out first?

Not at all. A rough idea and a few photos is plenty. We'll shape the words, pages, and style together. See what to bring.

Cost & ownership

What will this cost, up front and long term?

Ongoing costs are small and predictable. A domain is typically $10–$20 a year. Hosting a simple site is usually a few dollars a month or less. Professional email runs about $6/month if you want it.

My fee is project-based and agreed before anything starts. No surprises, no recurring lock-in.

Do you charge a monthly fee?

No. Running costs go directly to the providers on accounts in your name. If you'd like help with updates later, that's optional and pay-as-you-go.

Who owns the website when we're done?

You do. Your domain, hosting, email, and site files all live on accounts in your name. If we ever stop working together, nothing breaks and nothing has to be "released."

What if I already have a domain?

Great, we'll use it. If it's registered under someone else's account (a past web person, a builder), I'll help you move it into your name first.

Working together

I'm not technical. Can I run this myself?

Yes, that's the whole point. Updating your site will feel more like editing a document than writing code. You get a short, plain-English guide, and I'm around if something feels stuck.

I already have a website I'm unhappy with. Can you help?

Absolutely, it's one of the most common reasons people reach out. We'll look at what's working and what's trapping you (costs, lock-in, clunky editors). Often we can move your domain, content, and email onto something cleaner and cheaper without losing a thing.

Will I see the site before it goes live?

Yes. You'll get a private preview link, give feedback, and we'll refine it together. Nothing launches until you're happy.

Do you write the content?

We'll work on it together. Send notes, bullet points, or your old site, and I'll help shape it into clear, friendly copy that sounds like you.

The techy stuff

Will my site work on phones?

Every site is designed mobile-first, so it looks sharp and loads fast on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Will people find me on Google?

I set up the fundamentals: clear page titles and descriptions, fast load times, Google Search Console, and a Google Business Profile for local businesses. I won't promise page-one rankings (nobody honest can), but you'll start on solid footing.

Is my site secure?

Yes. Every site launches with HTTPS, accounts protected with two-factor sign-in, and email configured properly so it's harder for others to spoof.

Can you add booking, payments, or a shop?

For simple needs (a booking link, a payment button, a handful of products) usually yes. For larger online stores, I'll point you to the right platform and make sure your domain and brand stay yours.
