Own your name.
Not just a handle.

Social media rents you a profile. An algorithm decides who sees you, a policy change can erase you, and the address bar says someone else's name. Your domain is yours — forever. I help you claim it and build a simple, professional home on the web that actually belongs to you.

  • 1 place the world finds you
  • 0 platforms that can shut you down
  • control over your brand

You wouldn't build your house on someone else's land.

Your social profiles live on rented land. The landlord sets the rules, raises the rent, and can evict you without notice. Owning your domain flips that — it's the one piece of the internet that's truly yours.

A permanent address

Platforms come and go. Your domain stays. Email, site, and brand all live at one address that you can take with you anywhere.

Instant credibility

you@yourbusiness.com hits differently than a Gmail address. A real domain signals that you're serious — and earns trust before you say a word.

Control & flexibility

You decide what to publish, what to track, and who to work with. No algorithm changes. No shadow bans. No surprise ads next to your work.

Straightforward help, from name to launch.

I take the overwhelm out of going independent online. Whether you're starting fresh or moving off a platform, I guide you through the pieces that matter and skip the ones that don't.

01Domain & identity

Find the right name, register it, and set it up so it's truly yours — not locked inside a builder or registrar you'll regret.

02Simple, modern website

A clean one-page or small multi-page site that loads fast, looks professional on every device, and is hosted on reliable infrastructure.

03Professional email

Set up you@yourname.com so every message you send builds your brand instead of someone else's.

04Migrate off social-only

Pull your content, customers, and credibility off platforms you don't own and onto a home you do — without losing the audience you already built.

05Guidance, not lock-in

I set things up so you can run them yourself. No proprietary systems, no monthly fees to me, no hostage situations.

06Ongoing support (optional)

Want a partner on call? I offer lightweight, pay-as-you-go help for updates, changes, and growth — only when you need it.

Portrait of Micah Vorst

Hi, I'm Micah.

Founder, Vorst Digital Consulting

I've spent over a decade working in cybersecurity and digital self-service. That work has given me a strong appreciation for how people find and experience information online — and how much it matters. What shows up when someone searches your name can shape first impressions, credibility, and opportunity.

Vorst Digital Consulting exists to help you take ownership of that. Whether you want to point a personal domain to an existing profile like LinkedIn, create a clean landing page that brings everything together, or build something more, the goal is the same: a polished, intentional online identity that you actually own.

No jargon, no upsells, no lock-in. If that sounds useful, I'd be glad to talk it through with you.

Work with me

Questions people usually ask first.

Isn't a social media profile enough for my small business?

It's a great start — but it's a start, not a foundation. Social profiles are great for reach and conversation, but they're rented. A domain and site give you a permanent home that people can find on Google, trust at a glance, and reach you at even if a platform disappears tomorrow. The best setup uses both: your own domain as home base, social as the megaphone that points to it.

What is this actually going to cost me — up front and long term?

Ongoing costs are small and predictable. A domain is typically $10–$20 a year. Hosting for a simple landing page is inexpensive — usually just a few dollars a month, and sometimes less depending on the setup. Professional email runs about $6/month if you want it. My consulting fee is project-based and we agree on it before anything starts — no surprises, no recurring lock-in.

I'm not technical. Will I actually be able to run this myself?

Yes — that's the whole point. I set things up so updating your site feels more like editing a document than writing code. You get a short, plain-English guide for the handful of things you'll ever need to do, and I'm around if something ever feels stuck.

I already have a website I'm unhappy with. Can you help?

Absolutely, and this is one of the most common reasons people reach out. We'll look at what you have, what's working, and what's trapping you (costs, lock-in, clunky editors). Often we can move your domain, content, and email onto something cleaner and cheaper without losing a thing.

How do we get started, and how long does it take?

Fill out the contact form with a quick note about what you do and what you're hoping for. I'll reply with a time for a free intro chat. Most simple setups go from zero to a live, owned website and email within a couple of weeks — often much faster.
